I had such a hard time making decision on what to use for my projects today so I decided to leave everything that I haven’t used in a tub on my desk and I’m not putting it away until I use it. For my first card I wanted to use the Wild About You stamp set and coordinating dies with the trees from the On the Line Cutting Plate:
I started by airbrushing the background using the Cloud Border as a stencil. Then die cut the tree trunks from brown cardstock and the tree tops from two different green cardstock. I varied the placement of the tree tops to create dimension and popped the middle tree top up with foam tape for even more dimension. The leaves were colored with a shade darker Copic marker and popped out from the cardstock.
I colored two monkeys and two branches, die cut them with the coordinating dies, and adhered them among the tree tops with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment on one of the clouds from Cloud Stacklets and the rest of the sentiment directly onto the cloudy background.
For my next project I decided to create a basket of cherries using some of our newest Little Bits.
I started by cutting the fruit basket from Cookie Monster cardstock and several cherries and stems from the Little Bits – Fruit set. I arranged the cherries and stems, adhering them directly to the center of a white card base. I added some red sequins and Doodlebug sprinkles for some variety in the cherry basket.
I stamped a sentiment from Berry Special below the cherry basket and added a frame from Frame in Frame Cutting Plate cut from gingham patterned paper around the image and sentiment.
