Blog Design Team: Of Thee I Sing
Today’s project from Blog Team Member Amy Sheffer is so full of patriotic fun that it’s bursting into song! We can’t wait to share how she created it!
And now, here’s Amy to tell us all about her project…
I adore all of the patriotic products from the May release, and I couldn’t
wait to put together a patriotic red, white, and blue number for
today!I started with two layered Downtown Border die-cuts, one in Blue
Corn card stock and the other in Earl Grey card stock. To that, I added
two layered Reach for the Stars border die-cuts, one in Red Pepper card
stock and other other in Sugar Cube card stock.I then adhered the
layered die-cuts to a Sugar Cube panel that I dry embossed with the
Sheet Music Embossing Folder. To one of the buildings, I added a darling
American flag die-cut done with the Little Bits – Flag dies. The
sentiment, from Of Thee I Sing, is stamped in Navy ink onto a Sugar Cube
panel. I trimmed a notch along the bottom and adhered to the Sheet
Music “sky.” The whole panel is then layered onto a fireworks pattern
from the TE 6×6 Paper Pack – Summer Nights. For a final embellishment, I
added some white linen thread tied off in a small bow.
Thank you for getting us into the Independence Day spirit, Amy! You can find more of Amy’s beautiful work on her blog, Pickled Paper Designs. Have a joyful day!
