Hello! I live in Kansas and we’ve had our fair share of bad weather (tornados) and rain lately. It’s no wonder I wanted to create something rainbow-themed for my card! What better way to do rainbow but with inks! Taylored Expressions has just released their own line of dye ink which made this card super fun and easy.

I knew I wanted to use the Lattice Cutting Plate as a guide so that my rainbow would fall behind this lattice layer. I started with a 1/4″ trimmed piece of white cardstock and started doing some masking of striped color using the inks all across my panel. Nothing fancy, in fact I got a little inky because I just used my mini cubes! We wouldn’t be stampers if we didn’t get our hands inky once in a while! Once my ink-striped panel was done, I set it aside to dry a bit. For my rainbow I used the new inks:  Cherry Pop, Candy Corn, Lemon Meringue, Granny Smith, Salt Water Taffy, and Jelly Donut.

While my rainbow-inked panel was drying, I die-cut the Lattice Cutting Plate from white cardstock. Once my rainbow-inked panel was dry, I layered this die-cut panel over my rainbow-inked background for a polished look. To continue, I die-cut a white panel of clouds using the Build a Scene: Rolling Clouds dies and adhered it over my rainbow panel. I just love the stitching detail!

For my sentiment, I die-cut Congrats Script out of Jelly Donut cardstock three times and stacked them for some dimension.

To a top folding notecard, I added a layer of Jelly Donut cardstock. Then I adhered my rainbow panel with foam adhesive. To finish, I added some random Hello Happiness sequins.
