November Sneak Peeks: The Gift That Keeps on Giving!
Hey there, crafty friends! It’s Taylor here today which means it’s time to begin sneak peeks for another fabulous Taylored Expressions release! But first… Happy Halloween! I hope you’re all enjoying the festivities, getting the kids and grandkids all dressed up for the occasion (maybe even dressing up yourself!) and handing out candy to the neighborhood ghouls and goblins!
Even though it’s still October, I’m excited to begin sharing our November Release with you! The Creative Team and I have been busy crafting holiday gifts that keep on giving. Over the years we’ve become known for our innovative calendar products and today we’re sharing sneak peeks at several new calendar products to help you create a calendar gift that will keep on giving throughout the upcoming year!
Before I get to the projects, I gotta let you know about the prizes I’ll be giving away on the blog with my Question of the Day series! Each day of sneak peeks, I will post a Question of the Day and you can leave a comment with your answer for a chance to win one of our new release products or one of two Grand Prizes of 500 Crafty Points! As always, I love reading your comments so please share!
Today I’m giving away a 5×7 Calendar & the Build a Scene Calendar 5×7 die set!
Leave your comment before Wednesday, November 2nd at 11:59pm PST. One entry per person. Each comment will also be entered into our Grand Prize drawing for 2 gifts of 500 crafty points! Winners will be chosen at random and announced on Thursday, November 3rd, 2016.
And now let me show you my calendar project!
As I wrote above, we’ve become known for our calendar products throughout the years with our popular Mini Tear Off calendars and 3×4 calendars with coordinating critters. I love giving calendars as as gift at Christmas because I feel like it’s a gift that keeps on giving as the recipient gets to reveal a beautiful new design each month of the upcoming year.
This year we’ve designed new products to put a spin on our existing calendar products, but we’ve also designed a calendar and coordinating products in a NEW larger format!
First, let me tell you about my own calendar project. The above photo shows the new 5×7 calendar size housed inside a 5×7 acrylic frame. I’ve used the new Be Still stamp set to decorate the first six months of my calendar. This full-size stamp set includes 12 Bible verses making it perfect for showcasing one of God’s promises and encouragements each month.
I used additional products from my stash to complete each monthly layout and the full supply lists are shown below. But first, here’s a look at the new products I used on my project:
I tried to design each layout in keeping with the month so my theme for April was Easter. Again, I used additional products from my stash to complete the layouts and finished it off with a frame from the new Build a Scene Calendar 5×7 set.
The last two months of my calendar project feature flowers as we come into spring/summer. I haven’t had a chance to finish the remaining months yet, but this will be my mother-in-law’s Christmas gift this year so the clock is ticking! I’ll make sure to share the remaining six months as soon as I have them finished!
We’ve tried to think of everything with this new calendar size so we also have a clear box appropriately sized for packaging and gifting your 5×7 Calendar. Don’t forget to pick up a few boxes and your acrylic stand for display!
