Tiptoeing Through the Tulips for Mom
Hey there, crafty friends! We hope you are having a creative week this week. If you are looking for some inspiration, look no further! We’re sharing a beautiful, simple card from Charmaine Ikach that will have you thinking about mom (or the moms you know!) Check it out…
A note from Charmaine about her card…
With Mother’s Day fast approaching, it’s always good to have some cards on hand for not only your own mother or mother-in-law, but for friends who are mothers too! I always love to give a card to a friend just to let her know that even though she may not always feel like a great mom, she is! (We’ve all been through those days!)
The Simply Stamped – Tulips set helped to make the perfect card. I kept it clean and simple by created a mask using the Stitched Rectangle Stacklets and sponged the rectangle on the white card base in Cookie Monster ink. The tulips were stamped using Cupcake, Lavender Glaze and Plum Punch inks as well as Peapod and Granny Smith on the leaves and stems. I die-cut them using the coordinating dies and then mounted them to card with foam tape.
The sentiment was stamped in Oreo ink. As a finishing touch, I added some Snow Flurries Sequins.
Thank you, Charmaine, for sharing this lovely card with us today! For more of Charmaine’s work, visit her blog, Oodabug Alley. Do you know a mom who would love this card? Be sure to send her some joy this Mom’s Day!
