A Shiny Apple to Thank Your Teacher
Hey, crafty friends! If you have kids in school, I will bet your calendar is starting to fill up with lots of end of the year activities! My girls are done at the end of May and that is quickly approaching. It’s time to think about gifts to send to those favorite teachers for all of the work that they have done teaching your kids through this last school year. I always love when I am able to take some time and create something hand made to express my gratitude.
I have some inspiration for you today using some of our school and teacher themed products that we carry in the Taylored Expressions webstore. One of the new products that made its debut this past April was Frameworthy – Teacher.
The Frame-worthy collection is a perfect solution for easy to create gifts. The sets include one sheet of each of four unique designs printed on 100 lb. Sugar Cube cardstock that you can color, paint, and embellish. You can also use the panels with a foiling machine! Check out he video below where Taylor shows you how easy it is to add some shine to the Frame-worthy designs and create the teacher gift that is pictured above using the Frameworthy – Teacher set.
How easy was that? After you foil and color your images, you can easily pop them into a frame for gift giving.
I am also excited to share a new Foil It product that is perfect for using for teacher thank you cards and school themed projects:
Foil It – Cardstock Apple of My Eye Sentiments coordinates with the Apple of My Eye stamp set and you can die cut the images with the Apple Stacklets die collection and the stems with the Apple Stems & Seeds die collection. Now you can create a shiny apple to give to your kids teachers! Click below to shop for the Foil It and {Frame-worthy} products to use on your next project:
Noriko Fairchild created a few projects to share using the new Foil It – Cardstock Apple of my Eye Sentiments. Here she paired it with the Alphabet Soup Cutting Plate die cut from Pineapple cardstock. Noriko added the “thank you” embossed in white on Cookie Monster cardstock that was trimmed from one of the sentiments from the Simple Strips Background stamp.
On this next card, Noriko used three foiled apples and added them to a background that was stamped with the Notepaper Background stamp onto Pineapple cardstock and then die cut with the Notepaper Border die. She added several sentiments that were stamped and die cut with the Simple Strips Background stamp and coordinating die. I love how she snipped the sentiment strips into a few pieces and added them to her project around the foiled apples.
Foil can be tricky to photograph, but this detail photo really show the shiny foil details on both of Noriko’s projects
Thank you so much for joining me today and I hope you are inspired to add a little shine to your teacher thank you cards and gifts this year. Stop back again tomorrow for projects perfect for celebrating this years graduates! See you then!
