With the holidays coming up, you might be thinking about crafting your own Christmas cards. I have some tips, tricks, and ideas that will put you ahead of the game! Watch the video below to learn more:
In the video, I share a card design that works well for mass production. I share how you can easily create multiple cards using a stencil, the new On the Block – Merry stamp (+ coordinating die) with your MISTI, and the On Repeat – Christmas stamp (+ coordinating On Repeat die) that was made for mass production projects like this!
Here’s a closer look at the new products from the release that I shared in the video:
The new On the Block – Merry stamp (+ the coordinating die) features the word ‘merry’ in a block style font with overlapping letters for a bold and graphic look on your projects. Pair the large ‘merry’ word with the On Repeat – Christmas stamp for quick sentiments for your Christmas cards!
The On Repeat stamp sets feature one word repeated eight times. This helps make mass producing those holiday cards quick and easy. Cut out all eight of the words in one pass through your die cut machine using the coordinating On Repeat die and our innovative square alignment guides. This month we’re releasing On Repeat – Christmas designed to pair with On the Block – Merry.
When I used the Poinsettia & Pine stencil for my project, I only applied color through a portion of the stencil. That’s a great way to save time while still creating a beautiful look.
Another way to make the most of your time when mass-producing is to do things one step at a time for the number of cards that you are creating. Stencil all of your backgrounds, then die-cut and stamp all of your words, then do all of your embossing, and so on.
Once you have all of the pieces for your card created, set up an assembly line and approach it the same way – one step at a time. Attach all the backgrounds to the card bases, attach the sentiments, add the embellishments, etc.
I set up a template in my MISTI to stamp the ‘merry’ word onto the coordinating die cut piece. The MISTI was made for mass production and once you have everything set up it makes stamping multiples so quick and easy!
Don’t forget to have fun and step things up a bit too! I added splatters to my stenciled background and embellished with Silver Drip Drops to finish off my design. Both of these steps could be left out of the process, but adding these few details will step them up to the next level.
Check out the list below for the supplies that I used on my project:
Here’s more inspiration from members of the TE Creative Team as well as a closer look at a few more of the new products that are available to purchase today for our Holiday release!
Arjita Sepaha Singh dressed up the ‘merry’ word stamped with On the Block – Merry with glittery antlers that are die cut using the new Big Grumpy – Christmas dies from gold glitter cardstock. I really love how Arjita used the On Repeat – Christmas stamp to create a background behind the ‘merry’ word – so clever!
You saw the On Repeat die in action in the video above and this month we’re also releasing On Repeat – Holidays designed to pair with the previously released On the Block – Happy!
The new Let it Snow Layering Stencils set includes three stencils that when layered together create a multi-colored snowflake backdrop. You will love using the stencils for your winter and holiday themed projects!
Kevin Bray mass-produced a whole pile of holiday cards in pretty jewel tone colors using the Let it Snow Layering Stencils. The sentiment on the cards is created with the On the Block – Happy stamp (+ coordinating die) in colors to coordinate with the stenciled background and card base. The ‘happy’ word is paired with the new On Repeat – Holidays stamp to complete the ‘happy holidays’ sentiment. I love the touches of gold that Kevin added onto the snowflake background for extra shimmer and shine!
We released the Tag Team – Christmas clear stamp set last year as part of a limited edition kit and now we are releasing the stamp set for purchase individually! Use the set along with the coordinating Tag Team dies to create tags for the season. The set includes Christmas themed sentiments along with several small images and three pattern blocks designed to embellish the ends of the tags.
Annette Allen created tags using the Tag Team – Christmas stamp set and coordinating Tag Team dies. She embossed the pattern blocks and sentiments from the set in white on the different colored tag bases. I love the coordinating card that Annette created using the pattern blocks to create borders and pairing the ‘merry & bright’ sentiment from the Tag Team – Christmas set with the On the Block – Merry Shadow die that she cut from pieced strips of cardstock.
The sentiments from the Tag Team – Christmas stamp set are versatile to use on any project for the holidays like I did on this card (Heather Nichols). The background is created with the Let it Snow Layering Stencil set and I layered a few tags together to add the sentiment to the card. One tag has the ‘merry & bright’ sentiment embossed in white layered over another tag that is stenciled with the Mini Slim – Candy Cane Stripes stencil.
The new Pennant Parade – Christmas clear stamp set coordinates with the previously release Pennant Parade Cling & Clear Combo stamp set. There are 5 new pennant options designed with a Christmas theme along with eight sentiments that you’ll find yourself reaching for again and again.
Latisha Yoast decorated this card for the holidays by using the Pennant Parade Cling & Clear Combo stamp set paired with the new Pennant Parade – Christmas stamp set. She stamped the patterned pennant fills into the outline pennants on the background using festive reds and greens! The ‘merry Christmas’ sentiment at the bottom the card is also from the Pennant Parade – Christmas set.
The Pretty Package – Holiday Tags clear stamp set includes nine sentiments and two holiday images designed to embellish the small tag in the Pretty Package die collection. Dress the gift card package up for the holidays with stamps and stencils and finish it off with a holiday-themed tag. Gift card giving for the holidays has never been easier!
We are adding to our Mini Slim stencil collection with the new Mini Slim – Candy Cane Stripes stencil. Stencil the perfect candy cane patterned stripes on your holiday projects using Blender Brushes, embossing paste, glitter gels, and more!
Jen Shults used the Mini Slim – Candy Cane Stripes stencil to “wrap up” the Pretty Package gift card holder for the holidays! She added details to the package with Lime Zest cardstock and a Cookie Monster cardstock bow/insert. A bit of burlap twine is perfect to finish things off and add the tag that is stamped with the ‘from your secret Santa’ sentiment from the Pretty Package – Holiday Tags stamp set.
This classy gift card holder is created by Kevin Bray with the Pretty Package die collection. He die cut the pocket from vellum and dressed things up with silver glitter cardstock. I love the transcluscent look and how you can see a peek of that cute gift card inside! The tag is the perfect finishing touch stamped with the ‘best. gift. ever.’ sentiment from the Pretty Package – Holiday Tags stamp set.
