2018 Mega Sponsor Spring Blog Hop
Good morning, crafty friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Today we’re super excited to be participating in the Spring 2018 Mega Sponsor Blog Hop with 17 other fabulous manufacturers and suppliers! Today’s blog title is finally appropriate as we officially received our first taste of spring this weekend and enjoyed the sunshine and 70-degree temps yesterday! You can tell we haven’t seen the sun for months as I sent my kids to school today with sun-kissed cheeks. Sunscreen? Why would we need that? Oh yes, because the sun was actually shining!
OK…OK… back to the blog hop excitement! As I mentioned, we are thrilled to partner with 17 other stamp and papercraft companies for this special blog hop. Our hope is to introduce new and different brands to each of our unique audiences and also have the opportunity to share some beautiful spring inspiration along the way. Oh and I almost forgot to mention, there are PRIZES! 18 prizes for 18 winners, to be exact! Each company is offering a prize (either a $25 online gift certificate, $30 online gift certificate, or a prize pack valued at up to $75!). So how do you win one of these fabulous prizes? Just follow these simple steps!
- Subscribe to the TE blog by entering your email address into the subscribe box at the top right of the sidebar. Don’t forget to click the teal ‘Subscribe Me’ button after entering your email address. (Subscribe to the rest of the participating sponsors along the hop too!)
- Leave a comment on this post (and on each post along the hop).
Winners will be announced on participating sponsor blogs on Friday, May 11th at noon EST so there’s plenty of time to leave your comments!
Before you head out, I have some beautiful spring inspiration to share with you! In addition to kicking off the Spring Blog Hop, today also kicks off “Stencil Week” here on the Taylored Expressions blog. We recently released the first 6 designs in our stencil collection and the Creative Team and I have been having lots of fun playing! So mark your calendar to stop by each day this week for tips on stencil storage, projects featuring our new stencils, and a video with lots of unique ways to use stencils!
I’m starting off the stencil feature with two cards designed by Jean Manis using the Blooming Beautiful stencil in two ways:
This design is perfect for spring and creates a gorgeous backdrop when simply inked onto colored cardstock as Jean did on this card. She laid the stencil over Pink Champagne cardstock and used the new Guava color to apply ink over the design. Cut out with the Frayed Edge Stacklets and used to frame beautiful butterflies, it’s the perfect spring ‘thank you’ card!
Jean used the same stencil to create a background for a beautiful bouquet of felt flowers. She applied embossing paste to the design and rather than covering the entire stencil, she chose to leave portions of the stencil un-touched creating a unique look for the backdrop.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! If you’re new to the TE Blog, I hope you’ll pop in here and join me more often! Don’t forget to leave me a comment for your chance to win one of the amazing prizes and then hop along to the rest of the participating sponsors and do the same!
