Today’s video is from Mindy Eggen and she has created a fabulous set of Mini Slim cards using the new Simple Strips – Snarky stamp and new Simple Strips – Asymmetrical die. I love how Mindy pairs these snarky sentiments with her bright, sweet style! Watch the video below to see how she created the cards:

In the video, she pairs the Simple Strips – Snarky sentiments with the Mythical Grumplings stamp set (+ coordinating dies) to create three Mini Slim cards. She colored the Grumplings with Copic markers and then created a background for each of the three cards with Blender Brushes, stencils, and glitter paste on one of them. Mindy embossed the Simple Strips – Snarky in white on Oreo cardstock, cut them out using the Simple Strips – Asymmetrical die, and added them to her cards with Foam Sticky Strips.

This card features that cute and snarky unicorn from the Mythical Grumplings set. Mindy added the unicorn to a background created with the Bokeh Layered Stencil set. She paired three of the sentiments from the Simple Strips – Snarky stamp together and I love how perfect they are for the times we’re living in right now! I’ve definitely said the ‘Went out. Do not recommend.’ and ‘It’s fine. Everything is fine.’ phrases to my friends and family more than once in the past several months!

If you love sarcasm, you will enjoy this card featuring the cute and crabby dragon grumpling from the Mythical Grumplings set. The background is stenciled using the Heart of Hearts Layered Stencil set. Mindy shifted the stencil around a bit to include the largest heart on the left side of the card and still have smaller hearts sprinkled across the entire Mini Slim background. I also love how she used one color of ink and varied her pressure with the Blender Brush to get different variations of the same green tone.

This last card features the yeti grumpling on a fun sparkle rainbow blend. Mindy used the Masking Stencils – Stars set with Nuvo Moonstone glimmer paste to add the sparkle effect. The sentiment on this card might not be appropriate to send to just anyone, but can be absolutely perfect for those friends and family that appreciate a bit of snark!

The new Simple Strips – Asymmetrical die is designed to work with any of our Simple Strips stamps (sold separately) to allow you to easily cut the sentiments into strips with randomly angled ends. Includes tabs to perfectly align the stamp and die.

Emily Mydlowski took the crabby hedgehog critter from the Hot Flash Grumplings stamp set and paired him with the ‘Apparently I’m difficult’ sentiment on the Simple Strips – Snarky stamp. I had to laugh that Emily added the ‘xoxo….’ from the Mini Strips – Valentine stamp underneath. It’s the perfect card for the people in your life that accept and love all of you – even the difficult parts! The Bits & Pieces – Hearts embellishments around the hedgehog are the perfect touch!

Heather Nichols created this snarky card that reminds us how being an adult can sometimes seem that things can always get worse…! Thanks, Heather. The llama created with the No Drama Llama dies collection is blinged out with sparkly accessories and is getting your attention with the ‘hey’ speech bubble. That bubble is from the Hi, Hey, Hello Background stamp that you can get free with any order of $100 or more during the month of January. CLICK HERE to learn more. You’ll notice she also stamped the entire background in Sugar Cube ink on Toffee cardstock for this card.

Laurie Willison got creative with the Farm Fresh Critters stamp set (+ coordinating dies) and attached the chicken head to the cow body to create this fun, mixed up card that goes perfectly with the ‘Everything is fine. It’s fine.’ sentiment. This is a perfect example of saying things are fine when they obviously are not…! Just think of all of the crazy combinations that you could create with the animals in that set and stop by Laurie’s blog to see another fun farm animal mix-up!

How great is the ‘Went out. Do not recommend.’ sentiment from the Simple Strips – Snarky stamp paired with Gus driving the car from the Gus & Gertie Ride On set? I love the scene that Melody Rupple created with the ground, the cloudy sky made with the Set the Scene – Clouds Stencil Strips set and the twisty road using the Build a Scene – On the Road die collection. She used Bits & Pieces – Silver Drip Drops to add great details on the tires and to look like exhaust coming out of the back of the car!

Stamp 10 sentiments that celebrate friendship, fun, and all things funny with the new Mini Strips – Fun & Funny stamp. Use the sayings individually or combine them together for more possibilities! Cut all of the sentiments with one pass through your die cut machine using our innovative alignment guides with the coordinating Mini Strips or Mini Strips – Asymmetrical dies. Noriko Fairchild used the ‘have a colorful day’ sentiment from the new Mini Strips – Fun & Funny stamp on this fun, colorful, and sparkly shaker card created with the Rainbow Cutting Plate die. The colored bands of the rainbow are inset into the cover plate die cut and then Noriko filled all of the sections with Bits & Pieces – Sparkly Stars and Snow Flurries sequins. A few puffy clouds die cut with the Rainbow Cloud Duo dies complete the scene.

I love the mix of sentiments on the Mini Strips – Fun & Funny stamp and Jill Hawkins used this extra snarky ‘the struggle is real’ sentiment with the grumpy bird from the Hot Flash Grumplings stamp set. I love how she tipped the bird at an upside down angle and added the cheery Floral Fields Background behind him. That bird is trying to have a good day, but who can when things are turned upside down?

Kavya combined several of the sentiments from the Mini Strips – Fun & Funny stamp together on this bright card featuring emojis created with the Build an Emoji die collection. I have to say that I agree with the sentiment that receiving a card is definitely better than a text! The bright colors on this card that Kavya used on the emojis and sentiment strips are set off perfectly by that sunburst background that is created with the Here Comes the Sun stencil.
